Job summary

James Hardie Building Products is seeking a Transportation Solutions Manager in Dahlonega, GA to partner with our dealer network and optimize shipments. You will coordinate outbound orders, work with brokers and carriers, and design cost-saving transportation solutions to improve truck utilization and customer experience.

You’ll bring 5+ years in logistics or distribution, strong Excel and ERP skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in logistics or transportation roles including distribution.
• Experience scheduling shipments and coordinating transportation operations.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with route planning, load optimization, and freight cost management.
• Proficiency with Excel and transportation or ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Partner with dealers to develop cost-saving transportation solutions.
• Coordinate outbound shipments from order release through delivery.
• Work with freight brokers and carriers to secure competitive rates.
• Build efficient truckloads and multi-stop routes to maximize trailer utilization.
• Collaborate with Production and Shipping teams to align orders and delivery schedules.
• Serve as the go-to contact for transportation planning and shipment updates.
• Help grow dealer adoption of company-managed transportation services.
