Lindt & Sprüngli (North America) Inc. is seeking a Transportation Optimization Lead in Kansas City, MO to design and implement an efficient distribution network.

You will partner with planners, warehouses, and carriers to create an optimized transportation plan that balances service and cost. The role requires cross-functional collaboration, strong analytical skills, and hands-on experience with TMS and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years equivalent experience.
• Experience interacting with cross-functional teams and management.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Ability to prioritize and organize assignments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and collaborate with Transportation Planners, overseeing a network of multiple manufacturing sites and/or multiple distribution centers.
• Drive continuous improvement across the network to enhance processes, systems, and performance.
• Analyze recurring service failures and implement corrective actions.
• Maximize trailer utilization, mode optimization, and meet plant/DC shipping constraints.
• Perform network analysis, sailing schedule optimization, and process improvement.
• Resolve escalated delivery issues with proactive communication.
• Attend daily load plan review calls to finalize optimal plans with service targets and costs.
• Communicate with inventory deployment teams, DCs, and carriers daily.
• Work daily within Transportation Management System (TMS) for scheduling, reporting, and analytics.
