Job summary

dnata Catering USA is seeking a Transportation Manager to oversee the efficient and timely transportation of meals and supplies to airline clients. You will lead a team of drivers, monitor vehicle maintenance, and optimize routes while collaborating with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction.

The role requires strong logistics coordination, adherence to schedules, and ensuring safety compliance in a fast-paced environment across multiple facilities.

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading and interpreting safety rules and operating instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and communicate clearly.
• Experience with MS Word and Excel required.

Responsibilities

• Manage transportation movements between the facility and airfield per customer needs and operations.
• Ensure catered items are transported per SOPs, safety guidelines, and QA programs.
• Supervise a small team of dispatchers coordinating truck movements and updates on timings and delays.
• Maintain and oversee the fleet of catering trucks and vehicles for performance and readiness.
• Schedule drivers and dispatchers with correct weekly coverage and rest periods.
• Implement and maintain a safety audit program with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
