Goochland Powhatan Community Services is seeking an organized and experienced Transportation Manager to oversee van drivers transporting consumers to and from agency programs. Responsibilities include scheduling drivers, route assignment, working with agency reimbursement for billing, ensuring driver training, developing efficient routes, vehicle maintenance, and overseeing facility maintenance, procurement, and purchasing, including RFP processes for construction, contracts, and supplies.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of supervisory experience, 2 years of fleet scheduling and maintenance experience, and preferably experience in purchasing, record keeping, and facility maintenance. A high school diploma or GED, a valid VA Driver’s License, and a criminal background check are required. The salary starts at $69,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
