Job summary

Shamrock Foods Company in Aurora, CO seeks a Transportation Manager to direct daily operations of the Transportation Department, overseeing routing, delivery activities and a team of drivers and staff. Responsibilities include reviewing dispatch operations to identify training needs, implementing improvements for on-time dispatch, and coordinating equipment maintenance in compliance with DOT rules.

Qualifications

• Must know federal and state regulations applicable to DOT law.
• Minimum of 3 years related experience (preferably in Food Service).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products.

Responsibilities

• Review dispatch operations to identify training needs and recommend operational improvements for timely dispatch in transportation and warehouse.
• Analyze costs to control expenditures and stay within budget as measured by weekly and monthly reports, including overtime management.
• Coordinate HR facets of transportation personnel including interviewing, hiring, training, terminations, disciplinary issues and driver performance per DOT laws and SFC policies.
• Coordinate assignment and maintenance of all equipment including tractors and trailers to meet safety and DOT compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
• Other duties as assigned.
