Job summary

TransCor America, LLC is seeking a Transportation Officer for the Midwest Regional Reception Center in Leavenworth, Kansas. The role leads transportation operations, ensuring safety, security, and compliance with federal and state laws, customer contracts, and company policies.

You will supervise Transportation Officers, ensure staff training, oversee documentation, and manage overtime, vehicle maintenance, and cost discipline to support daily field office activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Social or Behavioral Science or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisor experience in related industry.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Minimum age 21.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Preferred: Class B CDL with air brake and passenger endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Direct, supervise and monitor Transportation Officers in transportation operations to include administration, regulatory compliance, officer management, safety and security, customer service, trip efficiency, reporting requirements, risk management, asset management, and adherence to policy and procedures.
• Communicate and support the vision of TransCor America, LLC and ensure alignment with company goals.
• Guide and direct staff in safe and orderly operation to promote public safety and secure environment for inmates/detainees/residents.
• Ensure staff training is conducted, tracked and followed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Review policies and emergency plans for compliance with laws, policies and contracts.
• Effectively communicate responsibilities and accountability to subordinates and motivate staff.
• Manage overtime, vehicle maintenance, procurement and cost discipline.
