Job summary

TransCor America is seeking a Transportation Officer to lead safe, secure, and efficient transport of individuals at the Midwest Regional Reception Center in Leavenworth, KS. You will oversee transportation operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the daily activities of the field office.

The role requires supervisory experience, strong communication skills, and a valid driver's license; Class B CDL with air brake and passenger endorsements is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Social or Behavioral Science or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisor experience in Corrections or Transportation.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Minimum Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Preferred: Class B CDL with air brake and passenger endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Direct, supervise and monitor Transportation Officers in all aspects of transportation operations.
• Communicate and support the vision of TransCor America, LLC and align with company goals.
• Guide staff in safe, orderly operation promoting public safety and secure environment for inmates/detainees.
• Ensure staff training is conducted, tracked and followed timely.
• Review policies and emergency plans to ensure compliance with laws, policies and contracts.
• Effectively communicate responsibilities and accountability to subordinates.
• Maintain cost discipline through overtime management, vehicle maintenance, and procurement.
• Conduct inspections and develop solutions to correct deficiencies.
• Attend staff meetings to ensure effective communication and operational efficiency.
• Engage staff through mentoring, coaching, feedback and team-building activities.
• Read and interpret documents and policies; perform other duties as assigned.
