Avondale Elementary School District is seeking a part-time Bus Attendant/Aide to support safe student transport on the district bus routes in Avondale, AZ. The role involves assisting the driver with boarding, alighting, seating wheelchairs, and enforcing safety rules while maintaining cleanliness and observational vigilance.
The position requires a High School diploma, an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
General Description To assist the bus driver in ensuring the safe, orderly, and efficient transportation of district students, including those in General Education and Exceptional Student Services (ESS), to and from school and designated stops. The bus attendant must be punctual, attentive, and vigilant while monitoring students, supporting their needs, and helping maintain safety along the assigned route.

EVALUATION: Performance for this position will be evaluated in accordance with the provision of Board Policy GDO - Evaluation of Support Staff Members.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly
Terms: Part-time, 183 Day Work Calendar
Compensation Range: Classified Hourly Salary Schedule
