Core-Mark is hiring an Assistant Transportation Manager in Hanover Township, PA. You will co-direct the Transportation Department, oversee drivers, routes, deliveries, maintenance, safety, and performance metrics to deliver reliable service to customers.

The role emphasizes leadership, process improvement, and a culture of innovation. Travel is up to 15% with a base salary plus KPI-based bonus potential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of transportation supervisory/management experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.
• Ability to manage routing, distribution, and logistic software.
• Ability to analyze and critically evaluate situations.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, and walk frequently.

Responsabilités

• Coordinating maintenance, fueling, and repairs of vehicles.
• Ensuring drivers meet required operating skills, training, testing, and DOT reporting.
• Developing and implementing transportation infrastructure and process guidelines.
• Collaborating with peers to drive improvements in division performance, analyzing key metrics.
• Creating efficiencies within the department through timely implementation of programs and effective management of human capital and fleet.
• Discovering opportunities to improve routing operations and back-haul revenues.
• Maintaining a safe and secure working environment and promoting safety.
• Fostering professional growth of department personnel through performance management.
• Creating open lines of communication with employees.
• Ensuring compliance with all regulations.
• Assisting in the overall selection, hiring, and management of personnel.
• Allocating work and resources to meet on-time delivery requirements.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
