Job summary

Echo Global Logistics in Woodridge, IL offers the Roadtex Trailblazers internship to develop confidence, community, and logistics skills through real-world projects and mentorship. You will gain hands-on experience in core warehousing and transportation processes while working with experienced teams.

As an intern, you will enhance your problem-solving and communication abilities, participate in inventory and process improvements, and have pathways toward full-time opportunities within Echo’s

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in a related field (Supply Chain/Logistics/Business).
• Comfort with data entry and documentation processes.
• Willingness to travel between Woodridge and Echo Chicago headquarters as needed.

Responsibilities

• Inventory Management: Track inventory levels and update records in the warehouse management system.
• Receiving and Shipping: Assist in receiving shipments, verify quantities, and help pack orders.
• Process Design and Documentation: Outline a process, document it in a Standard Operating Procedure, and implement it across operations.
• Quality Control: Check products for defects and ensure quality standards.
• Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.

Responsibilities & Job Duties

• Inventory Management: Assist in tracking inventory levels, conducting stock counts, and updating records in the warehouse management system.
• Receiving and Shipping: Help with receiving incoming shipments, verifying quantities, and inspecting the quality of goods. Assist in preparing and packing orders for shipment.
• Process Design and Documentation: Work with transportation leadership to outline and design a process. Then document in a Standard Operating Procedure and implement with through various level of the operation.
• Quality Control: Assist in checking products for defects or discrepancies and ensuring that all products meet quality standards.
• Warehouse Organization: Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Assist in optimizing storage layouts for efficient operations.
• Data Entry: Update inventory records, order details, and shipment information in the system.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures within the warehouse.

Requirements

• Must be able to start May 24th, 2027 and complete the entire 10 week program
• Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field
• Able to work in our Woodridge facility 5 days a week and travel to the Echo Chicago headquarters as needed
