Job summary

Vivalon in Marin is seeking a Transportation Operations Coordinator to oversee daily dispatch, routing, and driver coordination, ensuring safe, reliable transit for clients and partners. This role focuses on coordinating across drivers, agency partners, staff, and guardians to maintain service quality.

You will monitor real-time conditions, adjust routes, prepare reports, and collaborate with program staff, guardians, and drivers to sustain high standards of safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in scheduling and dispatch operations, preferably in transportation.
• Proficiency with dispatch and scheduling software.
• Ability to lead and direct team members as needed.
• Knowledge of compliance requirements at internal, federal, state and local levels.
• Skill to assess client needs, staff availability, and real-time conditions to guide drivers.
• Strong judgment and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent multitasking and cross‑functional coordination across stakeholders.

We are seeking a Transportation Operations Coordinator to support the daily operations of Vivalon’s Transportation Services. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth communication between drivers, agency partners, program staff, and client guardians. Some of the coordinator's duties will be making route adjustments, performing dispatch communications, maintaining queue logs, and preparing operational reports to support service efficiency and quality.

Requirements

• Experience in scheduling, dispatch, or a similar operational environment; transportation industry experience is preferred.
• Proficiency with dispatch and scheduling software, along with a solid understanding of dispatch procedures, is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and direction to team members as needed.
• Knowledge of compliance requirements related to internal policies and federal, state, and local regulations.
• Ability to assess client needs, staff availability, and real-time conditions (e.g., traffic, routing) to make informed decisions and provide clear instructions to drivers.
• Excellent judgment and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong multitasking skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple individuals while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
