Job summary
The City of Gahanna seeks a Transportation & Mobility Engineer to lead and manage transportation-focused capital improvement projects across roadways, pedestrians, and bicycle facilities. You will serve as ADA Coordinator and may act as City Engineer in the Director’s absence, guiding traffic signal operations and safety enhancements for the community.
The ideal candidate is a licensed Professional Engineer with strong municipal project management experience and a commitment to public service
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Four or more years of progressively responsible experience in a related engineering role demonstrating ability to lead projects and provide technical expertise.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (Ohio) preferred; PTOE desired.
Responsibilities
- Lead transportation-focused capital improvement projects from planning through construction.
- Serve as the City’s ADA Coordinator and support ADA compliance initiatives.
- Support traffic engineering for private development review and act as City Engineer in the Director's absence.
- Provide professional engineering expertise across roadway, pedestrian and bicycle facilities, and traffic signal systems.
