Job summary

RXO Inc. is seeking a Transportation Manager in Dedicated Transportation to manage on-site operations for a client account. You will ensure compliance with contracts, drive improvements, and serve as the main liaison for initiatives and critical issues.

The role emphasizes safety, leadership, and relationship management with drivers and operations teams. You will be responsible for P&L performance, fleet maintenance, recruitment, and interaction with client decision-makers to optimize service

Qualifications

• 4 years of transportation management experience.
• In-depth knowledge of the supply chain/logistics industry.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience.

As a Transportation Manager in Dedicated Transportation at RXO, you willbe responsible forthe overall on-site management of a customer account, ensuring that compliance requirements and contractual obligations are met. You will also serve as the primary customer contact on all new initiatives and high-level critical issues. What your day-to-day will look like:

• Maintain responsibility for the overall P&L to meet established budgets and forecasts

• Ensure the effectiveness of the operation's communication,interactionand relationship with company drivers

• Oversee the management of tractor maintenance,complianceand service delivery

• Track operational performance, including route configuration, on-time pickup and delivery, volume, equipment balance and empty miles

• Ensure driver recruiting and retention meets established fleet size goals

• Identifyopportunities to increase performance, improve processes and find efficiencies, and coordinate with leaders to implement solutions

• Investigate anddeterminethe root cause of all service failures; implement corrective actions whenever necessary

• Develop andmodifyoperational policies and procedures to meet customer service requirements on both new and existing processes

• Maintain a safe work environment and foster a positive team dynamic, resolving employee relations issues and administering corrective action asrequired

• Ensure annual profit, efficiency and quality goals areattainedat each client engagement

• Direct capital expenditure and asset deployment activities

• Customer facing role that requireseverydayinteraction with decision makers

• Depending on site and account specifics, safety sensitive job functions could include:

• Must be able to pull tanker with a commercial motor vehicle

• Manually fill up tanker on site at customer

• Trailer shuttle work when required by customer throughout the day

• Review and inspect load securement for both inbound and outbound loads

At a minimum, you'll need:

• 4 years of transportation management experience

• In-depth knowledge of the supply chain/logisticsindustry

It'd be great if you also have:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience

• Project management skills and experience

• Proven leadership and collaboration skills with experience effectively supervising,mentoring,and influencing employees

• Fleet Management and Maintenance experience

• Experience in Transportation Management Systems and Telematics such as Omnitracs

• Understanding DOT rules and regulations

• Solid customer relationship management skills

• Class A CDL and Tanker Endorsement (as applicable per the specific account)
• Availability to travel occasionally

This job requires the ability to:

• Lift objects of various shapes,sizes,and weights up to 25 lbs.

• Stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time

• Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
