GFT in Chipley, FL is seeking a part-time Transportation Management Center (TMC) Operator to join our onsite team. You will monitor roadway conditions, detect incidents, dispatch maintenance crews, and update message signs using CCTV, traffic data, Waze/Google Traffic, and ITS tools in a fast-paced environment.

A high school diploma or GED is required, with strong communication skills and the ability to multitask under pressure.

GFT is seeking a part-time Transportation Management Center (TMC) Operator to join our Practice or CBG Team in Chipley, FL! This role follows an onsite work model, requiring regular attendance at our Chipley, FL office.

What you’ll be challenged to do:

A Traffic Systems Dispatcher/Operator and Data Collection is responsible for Traffic Operations situational awareness, data entry and monitoring a designated region, district and roadway for normal and emergency conditions to identify incidents, coordinate response and update status for DOT and Consultant management in a 24/7/365 environment, using various software, CCTV and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).

• Monitor roadway conditions using CCTV, traffic data, and apps like Waze and Google Traffic
• Detect incidents quickly and coordinate response with DOT, law enforcement, and field crews
• Dispatch maintenance teams for urgent and routine roadway needs
• Update Variable and Dynamic Message Signs to inform travelers in real time
• Verify traveler information across DOT platforms
• Track closures, hotspots, work zones, and equipment issues

What you will bring to our firm:

Compensation: The range for this position is salary range is $20-22 per hour. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
