Job summary

Mi-Jack Products is seeking a Transportation Planner to support planning, coordination, and optimization of domestic and international transportation operations. You will work with production, warehouse, purchasing, sales, customer service, and logistics partners to move raw materials, components, and finished goods efficiently.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of transportation management experience, strong knowledge of regulations and freight coordination, and proficiency with ERP/TMS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years in transportation management, logistics, or related field preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or heavy equipment transportation preferred.
• Strong understanding of transportation regulations, safety standards, freight coordination, and logistics best practices.
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Outlook and Excel.
• Experience with ERP/TMS systems; Epicor is a plus.
• APICS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Arrange, schedule, and track shipments with proper documentation.
• Provide updates on shipment status to internal teams and customers.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and carrier documentation.
• Manage transportation invoices and GL coding.
• Analyze transportation data to identify efficiency and cost savings.
• Support freight rate benchmarking and carrier sourcing.
• Help develop standardized procedures and load securement practices.
• Coordinate heavy equipment transport using heavy haul trucks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve transportation issues.
