Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. seeks a Transportation Coordinator in Carteret, NJ, to manage day-to-day transportation operations with internal and external partners, ensuring on-time store deliveries and optimal carrier usage.

The role requires 1+ year of related experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office; 7:30 AM–4:00 PM schedule with a competitive hourly pay range.

Responsibilities

• Support execution of crossdock and store deliveries, including transportation optimization and peak season strategies.
• Deliver operational performance against KPIs and budget; perform root-cause analysis and create action plans.
• Support Transportation Manager/Supervisor in yard staffing, auditing, scheduling, and inbound/outbound transportation responsibilities.
• Interact with field leadership, store operations, loss prevention, and transportation providers to ensure TJX service standards.
• Plan and communicate truck capacity requirements and ensure adequate supply of trucks and trailers.
• Ensure timely delivery to stores and optimize cost via lowest cost carriers.
• Provide training to other Transportation Coordinators where applicable.
• Audit yard management system for carrier/trailer accuracy.
• Develop knowledge of Transportation Management Systems to drive efficiencies.
