Job summary

Kenan Advantage Group (KAG) in Ohio is seeking a Transportation and Logistics Analyst to perform in-depth analytics, drive improvements, and support operations and carrier management. You will work with operations and vendor teams to develop insights, track SLA metrics, and implement process enhancements that boost financial performance and growth. A strong Excel/quantitative background and 2–4 years in logistics analysis are preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal associates cross-functionally to support account management activities.

• Concisely communicate assumptions, findings, and recommendations of analysis and business rules with internal teams and customers.
• Query, collect, and analyze customer, logistics financial and operational data from multiple sources.
• Perform quantitative analysis using advanced Excel, statistics, and logistics tools.
• Coordinate post-event vendor selection process for procurement events.
• Support and monitor service level agreements and strategic initiatives.
• Maintain carrier management software solutions used to facilitate KAG Logistics business.

Position Summary

The Transportation and Logistic Analyst position is responsible for performing transportation and logistics analysis to support customer internal and external analytic requirements. This position will work directly with the operations team and carrier management groups to support supply chain analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. The overall objective of this position will be to develop insights and recommendations that drive implementation of process improvements, business growth and financial performance.

Essential Functions

• Fosters collaboration with internal associates cross-functionally to support account management activities
• Will collaborate with vendors and may also collaborate with customers to review service level agreement metrics and opportunities to increase value
• Concisely communicates assumptions, findings, recommendations of analysis and business rules with internal teams and customers
• Queries, collects, and analyses customer, Logistics financial and operational data sets for analysis from various data sources
• Performs quantitative analysis using advanced Excel skills, statistical methods, and other logistics design and analytical tools
• Procurement event management and coordinate/administer post-event vendor selection process
• Supports Logistics to measure and monitor service level agreements, strategic initiatives and ad hoc projects as necessary
• Support and maintain all KAG Logistics Carrier Management 3 rd party software solutions used to facilitate KAG Logistics business

Qualifications

• Proven track record managing analytical projects and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience in Logistics, supply-chain or quantitative field preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Excel data handling and analytical skills
• 2-4 year experience in logistics analysis and design
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in written and verbal communication
• Advanced Sourcing Optimizer experience
