Qualifications

• Associate degree and two years of progressive technician experience, or equivalent.
• Active driver’s license.
• Experience analyzing and interpreting highway construction plans.
• NCDOT certifications such as Concrete Field Technician, QMS Roadway Technician, and Conventional Density Testing preferred.
• 4+ years of construction inspection on transportation projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect contractor operations on transportation projects for conformance to plans and specs.
• Perform routine material testing.
• Measure and track quantities of pay items.
• Maintain record documents including certifications, testing reports, and diaries.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
