Job summary

HNTB Corporation seeks a seasoned planning professional to lead transportation funding strategy for capital improvements and road bond programs. You will monitor funding opportunities, evaluate eligibility, manage post-award activities, and coordinate with clients and partners to secure major grants.

The role involves directing technical planning work, producing plans and reports, and guiding project teams. Round Rock/Austin area with on-site work and opportunities to mentor staff.

Qualifications

• Strong planning and environmental planning knowledge.
• Experience in transportation funding and grants.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor staff.
• Excellent communication with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex professional planning and landscape architecture tasks.
• Prepare and review graphics, reports, and environmental documents.
• Coordinate with clients, sub-consultants, and internal teams.
• Manage budgets, invoicing, and proposal responses.
• Lead public and stakeholder engagement and present findings.
• Support strategic planning and department leadership.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture, Planning, Environmental Planning, Urban Design, Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, Geography, or related field

Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture, Planning, Environmental Planning, Urban Design, Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, Geography, or related field
