Job summary

OCTA’s M2 Local Programs team is seeking a College Intern to support Measure M2 grant payments, eligibility reviews, and project tracking for Orange County transportation projects. You will coordinate with partner agencies and project managers while learning how OCTA administers Measure M2 programs that fund local improvements.

The internship is a year-round paid opportunity with mentorship, exposure to financial analysis and program administration, and a path to a career in transportation

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in urban planning, transportation planning, public administration, public policy, finance, economics, civil engineering or related field.
• Minimum GPA 2.5 or higher.
• Interest in transportation funding, grants administration, public policy, or regional transportation planning.

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing Measure M2 grant payments and related program documentation.
• Support the M2 eligibility and semi-annual review processes.
• Track transportation projects and maintain information in the M2 Local Programs Master Tracker and OCFundtracker database.
• Coordinate with partner agencies, project managers, and internal staff to support program activities.
• Draft correspondence, memos, and instructional materials as needed.
