Job summary

OCTA invites College Interns to join the Specialized Transit Services team in Orange County. You will assist with data collection, analysis, reporting, and trend identification, supporting program administration and contract compliance.

You’ll develop dashboards, assist with outreach, and contribute to research and SOP development under supervision. The program runs year-round with a 20-hour weekly schedule and mentoring, offering exposure to various transit functions and real-world industry

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full-time college student at an accredited two- or four-year college or university.
• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in one or more of the listed fields.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
• Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to review program information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff with data collection, analysis, and reporting to identify program trends.
• Support development and maintenance of reports, dashboards, tracking systems, and databases.
• Assist with program and contract compliance activities, audits, documentation, and report preparation.
• Support outreach and communications with customers, community, agencies, and stakeholders.
• Assist with research and review of program materials, policies, procedures, and industry practices.
• Support development of standard operating procedures and program documentation.
• Participate in special projects and shadow staff to gain exposure to department functions.
