Job summary

Universal Music Group in Woodland, CA is seeking a Transportation Billing Analyst to support the US physical supply chain by ensuring timely payment of freight invoices, coding for rebilling, and dispute resolution. You will work with carriers and internal departments to maintain accurate documentation and optimize costs.

The role requires 3 years in transportation analysis or related roles, strong MS Office skills, and experience with TMS/SAP.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience as a Transportation Analyst or similar.
• 1–2 years in a customer or vendor facing role.
• Understanding of transportation modes, cost, and carrier tariffs.
• Proficient in TMS or order management system.
• Familiarity with supply chain concepts and transportation documents (BOL, DR, CI).
• Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication at all levels; detail-oriented; able to work under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review freight invoices rejected for payment and resolve discrepancies.
• Code freight invoices for internal rebilling to departments or Label groups.
• Process shipment paperwork to support carrier invoices.
• Audit carrier payments with freight audit provider.
• Generate shipment reports, freight spend metrics and cost reports.
• Maintain communication with Supply Chain Team, Label Groups, and carriers.
• Track shipments and submit freight claims; follow up for payment.
• Assist with bids, carrier selection, scheduling, and outbound/inbound loads.
• Create shipment paperwork and SAP entries.
• Identify process improvements to reduce delivered cost.
