Job summary

Universal Music Group is seeking an experienced Transportation Billing Analyst to support the US physical supply chain with inbound and outbound freight invoices, carrier payments, and related coding in SAP. The role encompasses reviewing invoices, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring timely payments.

The position emphasizes preparing shipment paperwork, assisting in audits, generating freight spend reports, and coordinating with the Supply Chain teams, carriers, and Label groups to maintain

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience as Transportation Analyst, Logistics Analyst or Transportation Coordinator, or in a comparable role.
• 1–2 years in a customer or vendor facing role.
• Understanding of transportation modes, costs and carrier tariffs.
• Proficient in transportation management systems or order management systems (TMS/OMS).
• Strong skills with Microsoft Office and ability to analyze data.

Responsibilities

• Review freight invoices and resolve discrepancies with freight audit providers and carriers.
• Code invoices for internal rebilling to UMG departments or Label groups.
• Prepare shipment paperwork and submission for carrier invoices.
• Assist in audits of carrier payments and generate freight spend reports and cost reports.
• Communicate with UMG Supply Chain, Label Groups and carriers to track shipments and resolve issues.
• Support bids, carrier selection, scheduling, and tracking outbound/inbound loads to ensure on-time delivery.
