Job summary

State of Maryland, Cecil County Health Department, Elkton, MD, seeks a supervisor to oversee the General Transportation program and Fleet Services. The role supports the Health Department's mission by providing essential services to all divisions and coordinating vehicle use and maintenance.

The position requires at least a high school diploma or GED and one year of administrative experience. Substitutions and experience in transportation coordination are considered.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
• Experience: One year of administrative staff or professional work.
• Substitution: 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university may be substituted for the required experience.
• Substitution: U.S. Armed Forces military service as a commissioned officer with staff work may substitute for the required experience.
• Preferred: Experience supervising administrative or program staff.
• Preferred: Experience managing or coordinating a transportation program including scheduling, client eligibility, vehicle assignments, or specialized medical transportation.
• Experience managing an organizational vehicle fleet including maintenance, mileage reporting, insurance claims, accident reporting, or vehicle-use records.
