Job summary

Clean Harbors in Norwell, MA seeks a Finance Manager for Transportation to lead monthly close, forecasting, and annual budgeting for the Transportation Finance team, delivering accurate reporting and driving performance.

The role partners with Transportation and Segment leadership, analyzes large data sets, develops dashboards, and guides strategic decisions, with offshore resources managed and a culture of executive communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Related field
• MBA or CPA preferred
• 7-10 years of experience in finance and accounting functions in a medium to large company
• Strong accounting and financial analysis skills; cost accounting helpful
• Proven Excel and accounting software skills
• Demonstrated analytical, communication, presentation and teamwork abilities
• Ability to lead cross-functional partnerships and manage complexity

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly close, forecasting, and annual budgeting for Transportation Finance
• Monitor transportation expenses, metrics, and KPIs to identify risks and opportunities
• Deliver timely, accurate financial reporting and variance analysis
• Support month-end close activities including journal entries and reconciliations
• Maintain GAAP compliance and internal controls
• Partner with Transportation and Segment leadership to provide analysis and recommendations
• Translate data into actionable insights for senior leadership
• Coordinate with offshore resources and drive process improvements
• Develop dashboards and financial models to improve visibility and decision-making
