Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking a Transportation Technician I to perform on-site inspection of roadway and bridge projects in North Carolina, ensuring conformance to plans and safety standards.

The role requires an associate degree or two years CEI experience, plus ability to work outdoors, lift up to 50 lbs, and travel to job sites. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate degree or two years CEI experience.
• NCDOT certifications preferred.
• Must pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening.
• Construction inspection experience on NCDOT projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect contractor operations on transportation projects to verify conformance to plans and specs.
• Perform routine material testing.
• Measure and track quantities of pay items.
• Maintain records including material certifications, testing reports, and diaries.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
