Boise State University’s Department of Public Safety is seeking a versatile technician to maintain and repair electronic devices, parking equipment, and signage across campus. The role supports parking operations, shuttle facilities, and seasonal maintenance while ensuring safe, reliable campus access.
The position is a Campus Security Authority under the Clery Act, requiring reporting and annual training. Flexible scheduling and competitive benefits are highlighted in the department overview.
To maintain and repair electronic devices and other equipment; maintain parking lots and surfaces; perform related work.
This position is identified as a “Campus Security Authority (CSA)” per the federal law known as the Clery Act. Per this law, the employee is required to report any crimes that he/she becomes aware of to the Clery Compliance Officer. Additionally, CSAs are required to complete annual training prescribed by the Clery Compliance Officer.

Experience: diagnosing and making repairs to basic electronic components; making mechanical repairs and minor repairs to small engines; operating power tools, including air compressors and hammer drills; using standard hand tools, including drills, screwdrivers, hammers, wrenches, saws, and files; using word processing and spreadsheet computer software.
A current and valid Driver's License.
Salary of $17.55/hr.
