Garver in Oklahoma City seeks an environmental sciences intern to gain hands-on experience in documenting environmental resources and to learn from experienced staff and project managers.

The role involves supporting NEPA compliance efforts, preparing technical reports, and using ESRI ArcGIS across transportation, aviation, and water projects. It offers exposure to Garver Launch intern development and community volunteer activities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an environmental science, ecology, biology, or related degree.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work indoors and outdoors.
• Proven time management skills and work ethic.
• Proven professional communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Desire to assist with a wide array of infrastructure improvement projects.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in environmental compliance and planning projects.
• Work alongside the consulting team both in the field and at the office.
• Become familiar with NEPA regulations at local, state, and federal levels.
• Assist in preparing technical reports and regulatory documentation.
• Explore interdisciplinary interests across ecology, hydrology, resources, and environmental justice.
• Learn and utilize ESRI ArcGIS products.
