The State of West Virginia's Department of Highways, District 4, is seeking a Resurfacing Coordinator to lead the Resurfacing Section. You will supervise administrative and inspection staff, review plans for compliance with WVDOH specifications, oversee field inspections and contractor payments, and maintain accurate records in SiteManager and ProjectWise.

Applicants should bring strong supervisory construction experience and knowledge of WVDOH standard practices.

Qualifications

• Certification as an Engineering Technologist with WV Transportation Engineering Technician Certification Board.
• Pre-Certification as an Engineering Technologist by the WV Transportation Engineering Technician Certification Board.
• No prior experience required.
• Travel may be required; therefore, a valid driver’s license is required.
• Employees acting as licensed land surveyors must have a current state license from the State Board.

Nature of Work

The West Virginia Department of Highways (WVDOH) District 4 is seeking a qualified Resurfacing Coordinator to manage the daily operations, business practices, and team within our Resurfacing Section. In this key leadership role, you will supervise administrative and inspection staff, review project plans and proposals for adherence to WVDOH specifications, oversee field inspections and contractor payments, and ensure accurate record-keeping in tracking databases such as SiteManager and ProjectWise. Candidates must possess strong supervisory construction experience, a solid working knowledge of WVDOH standard highway construction and maintenance practices, and active Transportation Engineering Technologist certification through the West Virginia Technician Board. Performs other related duties as assigned.
