Job summary

The role involves coordinating with engineers, contractors, surveyors, and agencies, overseeing contract documents, project schedules, inspections, and providing technical assistance to resolve citizen inquiries about drainage, traffic, and utility

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or closely related field.
• 3 years of project management experience for design/construction of engineering projects.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Virginia Engineer-in-Training certification.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering design and construction of capital improvement projects.
• Review plans and subdivision plats for compliance with codes and standards.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, surveyors, and developers.
• Oversee inspection staff and enforce city codes and programs.
• Maintain construction records and prepare reports and bid documents.
