Job summary

Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr & Huber invites a Transportation Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Indianapolis, IN. You will assist in designing roads, bridges, and civil infrastructure for DOT and municipal clients, while creating drawings with AutoCAD and OpenRoads Designer.

You’ll support engineers with calculations and documentation and collaborate across offices. The role emphasizes hands-on learning, teamwork, and contributing to real engineering challenges with a supportive, growth-oriented

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering program.
• Eager to learn and contribute to meaningful projects.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or OpenRoads Designer is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Previous internship or DOT project experience is helpful but not required.

Working with our Transportation team, you will assist in the design of bridges, roads, and other civil projects for the DOT.
