Job summary

Fishbeck is seeking a Transportation Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Indianapolis, IN. You will work with our Transportation team on designing bridges, roads, and other civil infrastructure for the DOT, gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative, real-world setting.

As an enrolled Civil Engineering student, you’ll support engineers with calculations, produce design drawings in AutoCAD and OpenRoads Designer, and participate in cross-office teamwork.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering program.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or OpenRoads Designer is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Working with our Transportation team, you will assist in the design of bridges, roads, and other civil projects for the DOT.

What You’ll Do

• Support engineers with calculations and technical documentation.

What We’re Looking For

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering program.
• Eager to learn and contribute to meaningful projects.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or OpenRoads Designer is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Previous internship or DOT project experience is helpful but not required.
