Job summary

Woolpert, Inc. is seeking Transportation Engineering Interns for our Ohio offices (Dayton, Columbus, Cincinnati) for Summer 2027 (May–Aug). The internship is full-time (40 hours/week) with standard weekday hours and primarily on-site work.

Applicants must have work authorization for the U.S. and be prepared to participate in real-world projects. Interns will support our Transportation team on traffic, roadway, pedestrian facilities, bridges, and planning projects, using Civil 3D/OpenRoads

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a student pursuing a Civil Engineering degree or civil adjacent field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Excellent multitasking and time management abilities.
• Willingness to relocate to Ohio and commit to at least 2 days/week in-office.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Transportation team on real projects.
• Assist on analysis, design, plan production and cost estimation.
• Use Civil 3D and OpenRoads Designer and related design tools.
• Coordinate with internal teams, subconsultants and clients.
• Contribute with independent problem solving and teamwork.
