Job summary

Woolpert, Inc. is seeking Transportation Engineering Interns for Spring 2027 in Texas (Dallas or Houston) offices.

This full-time co-op will involve real-world project work on transportation-related studies, from traffic analysis to plan production, under Licensed Engineers. The role emphasizes in-office work with no housing/relocation, visa sponsorship not offered, and a requirement for work authorization.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university, preferably with at least sophomore status
• Pursuing a Civil Engineering degree or civil adjacent degree.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to function well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
• Exceptional multitasking and time management skills
• Be ready and open to learning!
• Be located in Texas near one of our offices or be willing to relocate at your own expense as this position requires at least 2 days/week of in office time.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the industry leading Transportation team.
• Gain real-world experience working on actual projects alongside Licensed Engineers that are experts in their fields.
• Assist on a variety of projects doing such things as analysis, design, plan production and cost estimation.
• Use industry leading applications such as Civil 3D and OpenRoads Designer, alongside discipline specific programs that aid in design.
• Work as a member of a team that coordinates with other internal teams and external subconsultants and clients.
• Perform tasks and solve problems with a high degree of independence.
