Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a Transportation Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to join our Transportation group in Charlotte, NC. The position offers exposure to roadway design, structural design, drainage design, traffic engineering, and transportation planning with a tailored training program.

This internship provides hands-on project experience and the opportunity to work with professionals in a collaborative environment, with a housing stipend available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Pursuing B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering (with emphasis in transportation) required.
• Solid oral and written communication skills required.
• Experience using CADD (Microstation or AutoCAD) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Developing and evaluating engineering solutions
• Preparing design calculations, quantities, cost estimates, and drawings
• Assisting with various studies and documenting results
• Adherence to assigned project schedules and budgets
• Writing internal communications
• Performing other duties as assigned
