Goodwyn Mills Cawood (GMC) is seeking a Transportation Intern (UTK) to support ongoing projects in the Brentwood, TN office. The role involves preparing reports, site plans, permit documents, construction schedules, and studies under supervision.

The ideal candidate is pursuing an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree with AutoCAD knowledge and Civil3D experience preferred. Field and office work mix, with opportunities for mentoring and client interaction.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from ABET accredited university.
• Foundations of Engineering Certificate (EIT) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare reports, site plans, permit documents, construction schedules and studies.
• Direct technicians for production of engineering documents for routine projects.
• Review project documents for conformity and quality assurance.
• Assist with reviewing scope of work issues with Consultants and Contractors.
• Represent the firm in projects to clients and communities.
