Job summary

Goodwyn Mills Cawood, LLC (GMC) is seeking an Engineering Intern (UTK) to support ongoing projects in the Brentwood, TN and Nashville, TN offices. The internship will involve creating reports, site plans, permit documents, and construction schedules under engineer supervision. Qualifications include pursuing a B.S.

or M.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering (ABET accredited), experience with AutoCAD (Civil3D preferred), and a mix of field and office work.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering from ABET accredited university.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD; Civil3D experience preferred.
• A/E or EPC experience is a plus; Foundations of Engineering Certificate (EIT) a plus.
• Field (20%) and office (80%) work environment; ability to work in field under various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Apply technical skills to routine projects with minimal supervision.
• Direct technicians for the production of engineering documents for routine projects.
• Execute cross-discipline checks and coordination.
• Review project documents for conformity and quality assurance.
• Assist in learning the needs of assigned clients and understanding professional ethics.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering from ABET accredited university
