Job summary

Ardurra is seeking a Transportation Engineering Intern to join our team in Phoenix, AZ for the summer of 2027. You will assist in design, analysis, and documentation for a range of transportation projects supporting municipalities and public agencies.

The role provides exposure to real-world engineering work, with a focus on developing technical skills and exploring a career in civil engineering. You will work under close supervision and collaborate with project teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering.
• Familiarity with Bentley or Autodesk software such as MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Team-oriented and capable of working with supervision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Bluebeam and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and analysis of transportation infrastructure components.
• Prepare drawings, reports, memos, and specifications.
• Conduct transportation design, modeling, calculations, and quantity take-offs.
• Participate in field data collection and site inspections.
• Assist in obtaining budget quotes and cost estimates.
• Support permitting and project scheduling efforts.
• Review drawings for accuracy and standards compliance.
• Utilize design software and MS Office to support tasks.
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed.
