Transportation Engineering Division Manager - Central Florida

Overview

ESP Associates, Inc. is seeking an immediate hire for a Transportation Engineering Division Manager to support and expand our Transportation Business Unit in Central Florida. The role involves overseeing transportation engineering projects and providing occasional support for projects on a national level.

Responsibilities

1. Provide training, mentoring, technical, and administrative guidance to the team.
2. Manage all aspects of projects and operations, ensuring adherence to FDOT specifications, safety standards, and quality control.
3. Develop and maintain relationships with FDOT decision-makers and local municipalities to enhance company exposure and secure contracts.
4. Assist in preparing proposals, qualifications statements, and manage plan production for transportation projects.
5. Support workforce planning, monthly billing, and review of reports and maps.
6. Manage the division to meet profitability and growth targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Florida
• Strong background in FDOT Transportation Design Engineering
• Experience in business development and maintaining relationships with FDOT and local municipalities
• Experience as a prime consultant with FDOT and local agencies
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding of risk management and loss prevention
• Proficient in MS Office, Teams, SharePoint, and relevant technical software
• Self-motivated with leadership skills
• Civil engineering experience in land development and community infrastructure is a plus
• Ability to pass drug screening, background check, and maintain a good driving record
