The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is seeking a Transportation Engineer 1 in Lebanon, OH. The role begins with a 12‑month Transportation Civil Engineering (TCE) Program offering hands‑on training and rotations through planning, design, construction and highway maintenance.

You will work alongside experienced engineers in the field to gain practical experience and professional growth. Upon completion, engineers advance within the Civil Engineering series.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Eligibility for Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
• Willingness to participate in a structured training program.

Responsibilities

• Complete the 12-month Transportation Civil Engineering (TCE) Program with rotations.
• Work alongside ODOT professional engineers in real projects.
• Assist in development of traffic models, environmental documents, and construction plans.
