The Ohio Department of Transportation seeks a Transportation Engineer 1 for District 11 based in New Philadelphia, OH. This full‑time position includes a 12-month training plan with rotations through Planning & Engineering, Construction, and Highway Maintenance.

You will work with professional engineers, receive hands-on transportation training, and build essential competencies for an engineering career with ODOT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Eligible to sit for the Fundamentals of Engineering Examination (FE/EIT) as recognized by the Ohio Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors.

Responsibilities

• Receive a thorough introduction to the three core civil engineering disciplines.
• Work alongside ODOT professional engineers.
• Receive hands‑on transportation training & experience to advance your career as an engineer with ODOT.
