Job summary

Ohio Department of Transportation seeks a Transportation Engineer 1 for District 8 HQ to enter the 12-month Transportation Civil Engineering Program. You will rotate through Planning, Design, Construction and Highway Management while training with seasoned engineers.

You will gain hands-on experience, develop traffic models, and learn project oversight in a supportive, unionized environment. This role is full-time and located in Lebanon, OH.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering; EIT exam eligibility (Basic Fundamentals of Engineering).
• Training through ODOT's Transportation Civil Engineering Program with hands-on exposure.

Responsibilities

• Receive thorough introduction to core civil engineering disciplines.
• Work alongside ODOT professional engineers.
• Gain hands-on transportation training and experience to advance as an engineer within ODOT.
