Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC. is seeking a Transportation Engineer to join our growing Florida transportation team, working on roadway, drainage, multimodal and public infrastructure projects for FDOT and local governments.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver feasible, cost-effective transportation solutions, from concept through construction. We offer mentorship, growth opportunities, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus, subject to program terms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in civil engineering.
• EI certification or PE license depending on experience.
• Experience with transportation, roadway, drainage, or municipal infrastructure projects.
• Working knowledge of FDOT standards and design practices.
• Experience with OpenRoads Designer and MicroStation preferred.
• Sponsorship not available now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Prepare roadway, drainage, and transportation design plans.
• Develop calculations, quantities, estimates, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with utilities, permitting agencies, and project stakeholders.
• Participate in field reviews, constructability evaluations, and quality control reviews.
• Assist with proposal development and client support efforts.
