Job summary

Ardurra is seeking an experienced Transportation Engineer (PE) to join our growing Transportation team in Wenatchee, WA. This role will support planning, design, and delivery of transportation infrastructure projects for public sector clients including State DOTs, counties, municipalities, and local agencies.

The ideal candidate will lead roadway design, develop plans and 3D roadway models using AutoCAD Civil 3D, and coordinate across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Active PE license in Washington State is required.
• 5+ years of transportation engineering experience.
• Experience with roadway/highway projects for DOT or public agencies.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience with plan/profile, cross sections, corridor modeling, and grading.
• Strong knowledge of AASHTO, MUTCD, and state DOT standards.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support roadway and transportation design projects including highways, arterials, collectors, intersections, and local roadways
• Prepare and review Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E)
• Develop roadway geometry including alignments, profiles, cross sections, grading plans, and corridor models
• Coordinate roadway drainage integration and utility considerations
• Develop construction documents and 3D roadway models using transportation design software
• Coordinate with traffic, drainage, utility, geotechnical, environmental, and structural teams
• Ensure compliance with AASHTO, MUTCD, state DOT, and local agency standards
• May perform QA/QC reviews of plans, calculations, and technical deliverables
• May support project delivery, scheduling efforts, and client coordination
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff
• Support construction activities including RFIs, submittal reviews, and field coordination
