Job summary

Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. seeks an Entry‑level Engineer I to support engineering system design across multiple projects. You will perform design calculations, prepare reports and cost estimates, and produce deliverable drawings under close supervision.

You will assist with data collection, basic analyses, and adherence to codes and standards. Proficiency with AutoCAD, MATLAB, or SolidWorks is preferred, along with strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• 0–1 year of experience preferred.
• EIT certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, MATLAB, SolidWorks or similar tools.
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Engineers and Designers in design and detailing of systems; draft specifications and research options.
• Apply prescribed methods to perform tasks and research findings, providing recommendations.
• Collect data and perform basic computations; may prepare drawings and visual aids.
• Participate in meetings and reviews to ensure code compliance; conduct site observations.
• Interact with staff and external parties; limited client-facing responsibilities.
