The State of Ohio invites applicants for Transportation Engineer 1 or Transportation Engineer 2 within District 6 in Delaware. The role offers full-time hours, standard 7:30am–4:00pm schedule, and OCSEA union affiliation.

Selected candidates will enter ODOT’s Transportation Civil Engineering Program, with a 12‑month training plan across Planning, Engineering, Construction, and Highway Maintenance. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering or are EIT eligible, and may qualify for

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in engineering; EIT eligibility with Ohio Board licensure.
• Engineer-In-Training certificate or equivalent by Ohio Board; required or accepted.
• 2 yrs. engineering related experience or 12 mos. exp. as Transportation Engineer 1 for TE2.

• Receive thorough introduction to three core civil engineering disciplines.
• Work alongside ODOT professional engineers.
• Receive hands-on transportation training and experience to advance as a transportation engineer.
