Position Information
TxDOT's San Angelo District is looking for a Transportation Engineer I - V (Traffic Engineer) in the Transportation Operations Office in San Angelo. This position will primarily be a project manager overseeing in-house and consultant Plans, Specifications, and Estimate development for traffic and highway safety construction projects in the San Angelo District with opportunities to manage the construction phase of Traffic projects. The San Angelo District’s Transportation Operations office is a great working environment with an experienced and diverse team that designs, builds and maintains our traffic infrastructure. Work Schedule: Mon - Fri 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Salary:
Transportation Engineer I (B24): $65,104 - $106,634 annually
Transportation Engineer II (B25): $69,572 - $114,099 annually
Transportation Engineer III (B26): $76,530 - $129,430 annually
Transportation Engineer IV (B27): $84,182 - $142,374 annually
Transportation Engineer V (B28): $92,600 - $156,612 annually
Education: Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related science bachelor's or higher degree accepted by TX PELS.
Experience: (Experience can be satisfied by full time or prorated part time equivalent). Related graduate level education may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis.
Licenses and Certifications:
*Professional engineers licensed in another state in the United States, but not currently licensed in the State of Texas, must (1) meet the license requirements of the State of Texas Engineering Practices Act, (2) obtain a professional engineering license from the State of Texas within six (6) months of the date of hire, and (3) sign an agreement to that effect as a condition of employment.
