An established industry player is seeking skilled Transportation Engineers to tackle complex engineering challenges. You will work independently or as part of a team, managing projects and overseeing consultants. Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor's Degree in engineering and have substantial experience in the field. Transportation Engineer I: Performs transportation engineering work in areas such as planning, project development and design, construction, transportation/traffic operations, and maintenance. Ensures compliance with federal and state laws, policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines. Requires contact with governmental officials and private entities. Employees at this level follow standard practices with minimal supervision.
Transportation Engineer II: Performs complex transportation engineering work in areas such as planning, project development and design, construction, transportation/traffic operations, and maintenance. Ensures compliance with applicable laws and standards. Works independently on assignments; unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.
Transportation Engineer III: Performs advanced and complex transportation engineering work across various functional areas. Establishes work plans and priorities to meet objectives. Handles issues independently, rarely referring to supervisors.
Transportation Engineer IV: Performs highly advanced and complex transportation engineering tasks. Acts as a project manager, overseeing consultants and utilizing project management principles. Responsible for initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing complex projects.
Transportation Engineer V: Performs highly advanced and complex engineering work, including analysis and reporting on program funding, establishing project schedules, and overseeing resource planning. Maintains accountability for project outcomes.
