Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Civil/Transportation Engineer to join our transportation design team. You will develop large scale highway, tunnel, mass transit and aviation designs under supervision and ensure compliance with standards.

Travel up to 10% may be required for site visits and client coordination. You will review drafts for regulatory compliance, update design requirements, inspect sites, and contribute to reports and presentations with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, transportation, or Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• 0 years. Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop large scale projects such as highways, tunnels, mass transit and aviation engineering designs of basic complexity.
• Reviews draft designs for compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
• Performs site reviews and studies to ensure designs are aligned with location specifications.
• Inspects new construction and existing transportation structures as necessary.
