Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Transportation engineer to support analyses, studies, and design efforts for municipal, state, and federal clients. You will collect data, perform traffic analyses, and produce technical reports while collaborating with project teams.

The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering, an EIT or progress toward certification, and prior traffic engineering experience. Hybrid work options and competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering or equivalent degree.
• EIT certificate, or on track to obtain.
• Previous internships or work experience in traffic/transportation engineering.

Responsibilities

• Perform traffic analyses: data collection, reporting results, and writing technical reports.
• Perform civil design calculations, sketches, drawings, and technical comparisons as required by assignments.
• Demonstrate proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, OpenRoads) and traffic simulators (Synchro, Vissim).
• Research design options and document findings for project engineers/managers.
• Assist with duties assigned by project engineers/managers.
• Maintain effective communication with project team members and clients.
